Waverley Excursions

Media Release from Waverley Excursions

The last sea-going paddle steamer "Waverley" embarks on cruises along the Thames this year. It is a unique opportunity to view London's famous sites such as Canary Wharf, the Millennium Dome and Thames Flood Barrier from this historic ship. Or visit the seaside on day and afternoon cruises, which stop off at various locations including Southend, Clacton, Whitstable and Tilbury.

Tower Bridge opens for the WaverleyFor those outside the city, you can steam up the river, ending with Tower Bridge opening as you sail through. Evening "showboat" cruises are also great for escaping the city and floating down the Thames with live music onboard.

Standard fares range from £10 to £39 and senior citizen prices are often available. Children aged from 5 to 17 are half price and the under 5's go free.
