New Port of London Handbook
A new publication promoting the diverse range of port terminals and facilities that make up the Port of London is now available free from the Port of London Authority.
The full-colour A4-size ‘Port of London Handbook’ runs to 132 pages. It will be a useful tool for people in the logistics, transport, shipping, freight, import / export, and related fields. It includes:
- details of the different terminals of the Port of London
- maps showing the location of the terminals on the Thames
- details of shipping services to and from London
Richard Everitt, chief executive of the Port of London Authority said:
“The Port of London has a huge locational advantage given its proximity to the markets of London and south east England and its connections to the national road and rail systems. This handbook will help provide information to existing and potential customers about moving their products and cargoes via London.”

- London is one of the top three ports in the UK and handles over 50 million tonnes of cargo each year. The Port of London comprises over 70 independently owned and operated terminals and port facilities, which handle a wide range of cargoes.
- The Port of London Authority is the port authority for 150km (95 miles) of the tidal Thames from the sea to Teddington. It provides navigational, pilotage and other services for ships using the Port of London.
