London Container Terminal welcomes CMA CGM FEMEX service

Port of Tilbury’s London Container Terminal (LCT) welcomes the CMA CGM Group’s FEMEX service this month. Starting the weekly call on the 9th July with the arrival of the Santa Bettina, the service will call at the London port as part of the North Europe, Mediterranean trade route.

The CMA CGM Group is the only shipping line offering a direct coverage into the Black Sea region from / to North Europe and this service calling into LCT will enable the Group to offer its customers yet a wider coverage and fastest transit time.

Perry Glading, Chief Operating Officer for Forth Ports Limited (owners of LCT) said: “We are delighted to welcome CMA CGM’s FEMEX service to LCT this week. As existing customers, the Group are already taking advantage of Tilbury’s reliable and fast shipping service.

We handle in excess of half a million containers per year at Tilbury, and we are the only UK port truly servicing both deep sea and short sea customers. LCT is now recognised as the one of the most efficient UK ports for the handling of containers, bringing benefits to our customers with improved turnover of vessels and road side trucks.”

The Port rotation for the FEMEX service is as follows: Hamburg – Germany; Antwerp – Belgium; Tilbury (LCT) – England; Tanger Med – Morocco; Malta – Malta; Gemlik – Turkey; Gebze – Turkey; Istanbul Ambarli port e side – Turkey; Istanbul Haydarpasa – Turkey; Samsun - Turkey

London Container Terminal is also the port of call for CMA CGM’s Round the World PANAMA DIRECT service, the West African HEBDO service, the Australian NEMO service and the French Guiana North Brazil service.
