Incident – 17 July 2014

At approx. 14:14 today (Thursday 17 July 2014) there was a collision on the Thames near Waterloo Bridge involving the passenger boat ‘Millennium Time’ and the tug ‘Redoubt’.

The Port of London Authority has begun an investigation into the cause of the accident.

We understand there were 426 people (422 passengers and 4 crew) on board the ‘Millennium Time’. At this stage we believe seven passengers sustained minor injuries.

The ‘Millennium Time’ was damaged but was able to safely reach a mooring near Waterloo Bridge. All passengers were then taken ashore at Festival Pier via another passenger boat.

None of the crew on board the ‘Redoubt’ were injured and the tug is also now safely moored near Waterloo Bridge.
