City Cruises Goes From Strength To Strength As 2014 Plans Unveiled

Two brand new products and extended dining after bumper year in 2013
City Cruises – London's number one sightseeing tour on the Thames – last night announced imminent growth with the introduction of two new products and extended capacity of Riverdays and Showboat dining sails.
The announcement comes shortly after City Cruises enjoyed its strongest year to date in 2013, with year-on-year growth at 22%. With a record breaking festive period and continued growth into January, the company has experienced a healthy revenue boost allowing investment in and creation of a new Thames Circular Cruise and a second Thamesjet RIB, BlueLightning, following the roaring success of BlueThunder, launched in September 2013.
The Thames Circular Cruise, due to launch in April 2014, will see a £250,000 revamp of heritage vessel Eleanor Rose and is set to offer a 45-minute round trip seven times daily from Tower Pier. With quality, live commentary that City Cruises is famed for, passengers will glide across the Thames, taking in London’s famous sights in a neat slot before continuing their day in the Capital.
BlueLightning will be available for booking from March as an identical sister product to the 315 horsepower BlueThunder.
Additionally, building on the hugely popular dining cruises, City Cruises will be increasing capacity of Riverdays lunch and afternoon teas from three days a week to five days a week and evening Show Boat dining from five days to seven days a week. Combining the sights with a catch up with family or friends, dining on-board a City Cruises sail has gone from strength-to-strength and can now look to meet the ever growing demand from April 2014.
Thames Circular will depart daily from Tower Pier departing at 10.00am, 11.00am, 12.00pm, 1.00pm, 3.00pm, 4.00pm, 5.00pm. Returns to Tower Pier after 45 minutes. Prices from £13.00 (adult) and £6.50 (children).
Blue Thunder and Blue Lightening will be operating 7 days a week throughout the Summer and during school holidays up to 4 trips a day.
