2022 Environment Fund open for applications
Applications are open for our 2022 Environment Fund, offering grants of up to £5,000 to help not-for-profit organisations who are active on the Thames to buy electric engines for their vessels.
Sean Holdforth, project manager, explains: “As part of our Thames Vision 2050 commitment to improve air quality and cut carbon emissions on the tidal Thames, this year’s Environment Fund is seeking to help charities and community groups on the river do their bit to boost the environment of the Thames and achieve Net Zero. We particularly welcome applications from groups with a wide community reach and a proven record of safe operations.”
The deadline for application is 21 October 2022.
In its launch year of 2021, the fund boosted five local groups’ efforts to tackle non-native invasive species and litter in the river.
