With Thames passenger and freight statistics at record levels, the Port of London Authority (PLA) officially introduced its £7 million multi-purpose river maintenance vessel, London Titan, in a ceremony at Tower Pier today (Thursday, 3 December 2015).

Further work by water companies to tackle sewage pollution of the tidal Thames is to be fast-tracked in a new collaboration, convened by the Port of London Authority.

Scarlett Barnett-Smith, from Gillingham, who started her career as marine apprentice with the Port of London Authority (PLA) has won the 2021 John Percival Award for Best Industry Trainee from the National Workboat Association.
