Forum

Our Annual Stakeholder Forum will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel, 10 Trinity Square, London on 9 May 2017.

The Forum, our equivalent to an annual general meeting, is open to anyone who wishes to attend.  Hosted by PLA chairman, Christopher Rodrigues CBE, the Forum features an update from CEO Robin Mortimer on 2016 river highlights and from chief harbour master, Bob Baker on navigational safety developments.  We close the formal session with a Q&A session chaired by Christopher Rodrigues.  Afterwards the Board and other members of the PLA team will be available to catch up informally over refreshments.

Last year saw port trade grow to more than 50 million tonnes for the first time since 2008; use of the river for passenger travel and moving inland waterways freight also increased.  We launched the Thames Vision project mid-year and developed a new strategy for the PLA which aligns our resources around three core themes: Protect, Improve and Promote.  All these elements will be touched on as we look back at 2016 and look to the prospects for the future.

Detailed arrangements for the Forum are as follows:

  • Date: Tuesday, 9 May 2017
  • Venue: Four Seasons Hotel, 10 Trinity Square, London EC3N 4AJ.
  • Time: the formal session will run from 1.30 pm to 2.30 pm
