Greening Inland Shipping 2022

On 7 March 2022, the PLA co-hosted a panel event with KTN, who helped us issue a call for a zero emission berth innovation. During the online session, solution providers showcased technologies that have the potential to help meet net zero goals.

Our panellists -- who represented the typical vessels on the Thames -- included Kurt Cowdery from Cemex, John Spencer from GPS, Andrew Osbourne from the PLA and Tom Woods from Silver Fleet. KTN also set out different technological challenges and likely funding sources in 2022.
